To meet an up-coming requirement of the IEEE Standards Association, the group has been working to formalise the procedures by which the group conducts its business.
These procedures will be published in the "wiki" section of our website and linked from our home page.
Retirement of Jim Webster
Early in November Jim Webster announced his retirement and his resignation from the Working Group.
Jim had a long and distinguished career with BAE Systems and its predecessor companies in Edinburgh, before starting his own DFT consultancy, Integellus.
Those who have followed this group will know that Jim has been active in the SJTAG initiative since its inception as well as being active in organising and running a number of BTW and EBTW events. His contributions and down-to-earth manner will be greatly missed, and we wish Jim a long and happy retirement!
iNEMI Survey on BSCAN Adoption
The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) is conducting an on-line survey on the adoption of Boundary Scan within the electronics design and manufacturing sectors.
This focuses on board and IC level issues more than system level applications, but asks many questions that are pertinent at all levels. Be aware though, that this is quite a long questionnaire and could take you 20 to 30 minutes to fill out if you're responding to all sections.
If you have an interest in BSCAN, either as an existing user or a potential user, then you might like to take this survey.
